ABOUT MEWelcome to my site! I am native to Dallas and have grown up and worked in independent schools all of my life. I live in a suburb of Dallas with my husband and our two children. I in my third year at Greenhill School where I have worked as the Preschool and Lower School Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Coordinator, and have had the pleasure of serving as the Interim Upper School CSE Coordinator for the 2018-2019 school year.
I have been working as a K-12 Educational Technologist for eleven year in independent schools in Dallas, TX. I have a background in arts and humanities which I draw inspiration from when I help schools build communities that support innovative teaching practices. I am currently working on my second Masters in Educational Technology Leadership through George Washington University which has solidified my passion for curriculum design and educational technology in K12. I recently completed the 2017-2018 Association for Technology in Independent Schools (ATLIS) Early Career and Aspiring Technology Directors Institute (ECATD). I will embark on a new educational outreach this school year, as I connect with schools across the country on innovative teaching practices as a Lausanne Learning Institute Teaching Consultant. I have been working in iPad and BYOD laptop environments for my entire career and I am passionate about how technology can reinvent the learning environment. I believe deeply in the maker movement and I have seen the benefits of hands-on STEAM education in K12. I feel that all children are makers innately, and there is no better way to connect concrete learning concepts than through the process of building and designing authentic solutions to real world problems. |
